Mushroom Stir Fry
Mushroom fry is a simple and flavorful dish made by sautéing or frying mushrooms with basic seasonings like garlic, butter, and herbs. The mushrooms are cooked until they are golden brown and slightly crispy, often developing a rich, savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 250 g mushrooms washed and cleaned
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3-4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp fresh or dried thyme
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Mushrooms:
- If the mushrooms are large, cut them into bite-sized pieces. If small, you can leave them whole.
Cook the Mushrooms:
- Heat a pan over high flame and add a little oil. Once the oil starts to smoke, add the mushrooms.
- Cook the mushrooms on high heat, stirring occasionally, until both sides are light brown.
Simmer:
- Sprinkle Salt and add herbs (thyme), then cover the pan with a lid. Let the mushrooms cook until they release some water.
Evaporate the Water:
- Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water evaporates completely.
Add Garlic and Butter:
- Add the minced garlic and butter to the pan. Stir well and cook until the garlic becomes aromatic and lightly golden.
Season and Serve:
- Sprinkle black pepper over the mushrooms. Check salt and spices and add if needed. Mix well and cook for another minute.
- Garnish with more herbs
- Serve hot as a side dish or enjoy it on its own.
