Ingredients

  • 250 g mushrooms washed and cleaned
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3-4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp fresh or dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Mushrooms:

  • If the mushrooms are large, cut them into bite-sized pieces. If small, you can leave them whole.

Cook the Mushrooms:

  • Heat a pan over high flame and add a little oil. Once the oil starts to smoke, add the mushrooms.
  • Cook the mushrooms on high heat, stirring occasionally, until both sides are light brown.

Simmer:

  • Sprinkle Salt and add herbs (thyme), then cover the pan with a lid. Let the mushrooms cook until they release some water.

Evaporate the Water:

  • Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water evaporates completely.

Add Garlic and Butter:

  • Add the minced garlic and butter to the pan. Stir well and cook until the garlic becomes aromatic and lightly golden.

Season and Serve:

  • Sprinkle black pepper over the mushrooms. Check salt and spices and add if needed. Mix well and cook for another minute.
  • Garnish with more herbs
  • Serve hot as a side dish or enjoy it on its own.
