Spicy Garlic Edamame
These spicy garlic edamame beans are a high-protein healthy snack. It is easy to prepare and delicious.

- 1 pound frozen or Fresh edamame in the shell.
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter can be used.
- 4 garlic cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes Adjust to your spiciness
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Mince garlic and set aside all ingredients
Boil water in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp salt to the water.
Add the frozen edamame and let the water boil again.
After 3-4 minutes, turn off heat and drain off the water. Set aside cooked edamame.
Heat a skillet or wok over medium heat and add 2 tbsp olive oil.
Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds, do not burn the garlic. No need to brown the garlic.
Add edamame back to the pan and toss the edamame to mix with garlic.
Add 1/2 tsp red chili flakes and cook for 1-2 minutes
Now add soy sauce and sesame oil, then toss together to coat the sauce on edamame.
Sprinkle with sea salt and serve hot.
I used olive oil as a healthy option. Butter also can be used.
Make sure not to burn the garlic. If you like the flavor of ginger you can add 1 tsp minced ginger.
Adjust the chili flakes to your taste.
